Open Access Policy
SJDV is fully open access — free, immediate and permanent availability of every article.

Scientific Journal of Dermatology and Venereology (SJDV) is a fully open-access journal. Every article it publishes is made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without any subscription, registration, or payment required of readers. There is no embargo period.

Statement of Open Access

In keeping with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative, readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles published in SJDV, and to use them for any lawful non-commercial purpose, without seeking prior permission from the publisher or the authors, provided that the original work is properly cited. This unrestricted access supports the global exchange of knowledge and the advancement of dermatology, venereology, and aesthetic medicine.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their work. All articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) licence. Under this licence, users are free to share and adapt the material for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original work and that any derivative work is distributed under the same licence terms.

Funding of Open Access

Because the journal does not charge readers, the costs of editorial processing, copyediting, layout, DOI registration, and long-term digital preservation are supported by an Article Processing Charge (APC) levied only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. There is no submission fee, and an author's ability to pay never influences editorial decisions. Full details are provided in the journal's APC policy.

Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted to deposit the published version of their article in institutional or subject repositories, on personal or institutional websites, and in scholarly networks, provided that the original publication in SJDV is acknowledged and a link to the published version is included.

Digital Preservation and Identification

Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure persistent access and citation. The journal is committed to the long-term preservation and continued availability of its published content through reliable digital archiving.

SJDV is published by Phlox Institute: Indonesian Medical Research Organization (e-ISSN 3025-6208).
