Acknowledgement & ID The editorial office acknowledges receipt and assigns a unique identifier SJIM-YYYY-NNN. Quote this ID in all correspondence. Within 3 working days
Desk evaluation Screening for scope, completeness, ethical compliance, and textual similarity. Within 1 week
Double-blind peer review At least two independent experts. The editorial office acts as intermediary at all times, forwarding only the blinded manuscript and relaying anonymised comments, so author and reviewer identities are never disclosed to one another. 2–4 weeks

Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents, accessible only to the editorial office, the handling editor, and the assigned reviewers. Manuscripts are not shared with any third party and are not used for any purpose other than evaluation for publication.
