Open Access Policy
Immediate, barrier-free access to research
No embargo · No paywall

Sriwijaya Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (SJOG) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Statement of Open Access

In keeping with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative, readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles, and use them for any lawful non-commercial purpose, without prior permission from the publisher or authors, provided the original work is properly cited. This unrestricted access supports the global exchange of knowledge and the advancement of obstetric and gynecologic care.

Funding of Open Access

Because the journal does not charge readers, the costs of editorial processing, copyediting, layout, DOI registration, and long-term digital preservation are supported by an Article Processing Charge (APC) levied only after a manuscript has been accepted. There is no submission fee, and an author’s ability to pay never influences editorial decisions (see the Publication Fee page).

Self-Archiving, Preservation & Identification

Authors may deposit the published version in institutional or subject repositories, on personal or institutional websites, and in scholarly networks, provided that publication in SJOG is acknowledged and a link to the published version is included. Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure persistent access and citation, and the journal is committed to long-term preservation through reliable digital archiving.

Open access advances the journal’s mission to improve women’s reproductive health worldwide by ensuring that clinicians, researchers, and policymakers — especially in low-resource settings — can reach the evidence without cost.
