This Copyright Notice governs the ownership and use of all material published in SJRIR and is consistent with the editorial and integrity standards of Scopus and the Web of Science Core Collection. By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) accept the terms set out below.

Retention of Copyright by Authors

Authors retain the copyright of their work without restriction. SJRIR does not require the transfer or assignment of copyright to the journal or the publisher. Upon acceptance, authors grant SJRIR the right of first publication, together with a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and disseminate the article in any form or medium.

Open Licensing

All articles are published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). Because authors retain copyright, third parties may reuse the work under the terms of that license, provided the original author(s) and the publication in SJRIR are properly credited. The detailed conditions are described in the journal's Licensing Terms.

Author Rights and Self-Archiving

Retaining copyright, authors are entitled to:

  • deposit the submitted, accepted, and published versions of the article in personal, institutional, or subject-based repositories, without embargo;
  • reuse the whole or part of the article in their own future works, including theses, books, and presentations;
  • share the article for scholarly, educational, and non-commercial purposes;
  • be identified as the author(s) whenever and wherever the article is published or reused.

In all cases, the original publication in SJRIR must be acknowledged, with a full citation and, where possible, a link to the published version via its Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

Third-Party Material

Where a manuscript contains material (figures, tables, images, or text) owned by a third party, the author(s) are responsible for obtaining written permission from the copyright holder and for providing appropriate attribution. Authors warrant that their work does not infringe any existing copyright or other intellectual-property right.

Author Warranties

By submitting to SJRIR, the corresponding author confirms, on behalf of all authors, that the work is original, has not been published previously, is not under consideration elsewhere, contains nothing unlawful or defamatory, and that all co-authors have approved its submission and these terms.

Integrity of the Published Record

SJRIR assigns a DOI to every article and maintains long-term digital preservation of all published content. Corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern, where necessary, are handled in accordance with the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and remain permanently linked to the original article.
